Liepouris Winery notes a long course in the wine sector Entirely family business that already counts three generations.

It was founded in 1935 by grandfather Dimitrios Liepouris, when he used a cart to transport must to the taverns of old Athens. Then, his son Stamatios takes over, who with passion and love transfers his knowledge to his eldest son Dimitrios Liepouris, who has now taken over the reins of the business.

A place with a rich history, since in 1941 it was occupied by the Italians and operated as a kitchen. For many years it remained a traditional winery of the time, with oak barrels and the traditional strofilia as protagonists. However, Dimitris’ dream of a modern winery could not remain unfulfilled

In 2014 the space is completely renovated. The first stainless steel tanks and modern winemaking machinery make their appearance changing the dynamics of the winery. At the same time, the creation of an industrial floor completes the image of the space with all the advantages it brings. At the same time, the first wines are bottled and the tasting room is set up. A stone-built building with a wooden roof can now accommodate wine lovers.
