Our Story

Liepouris Winery notes a long course in the wine sector. Entirely a family business that already counts three generations.
It was founded in 1935 by grandfather Dimitrios Liepouris, when he with a cart transported must to the taverns of old Athens. Next, his son Stamatios takes over, who with love and love transfers his knowledge to his eldest son Dimitrios Liepouris, who has now taken over the reins of the business.
A place with a rich history, as in 1941 the Germans occupied it and operated it as a galley. For many years it remained as a traditional winery of the time, starring oak barrels and traditional strofilia. But Dimitris’ dream of a modern winery could not be left unfulfilled.
So in 2014 the place is completely renovated. The first stainless steel tanks and modern winemaking machines make their appearance changing the dynamics of the winery. At the same time, the creation of an industrial floor completes the image of the space with all the advantages that it pronounces. At the same time, the first wines are bottled and the tasting room is made. A stone-built building with a wooden roof can now accommodate wine fans.
